They are those who are selecting the disbelievers as their patrons besides the believers; are they seeking dignity with them? Then indeed, to Lord Allah belongs the dignity completely.
Adhikr is the Straightpath mentioned in 35 places such as 2: 142; 3: 51; 4: 68 and 6: 153. The human devil hypocrites are pretending as scholars without having Adhikr. They are knowingly hiding even the forty names of Lord’s Book by rejecting verses such as 41: 41-43; 21: 24; 25: 33, and 38: 8. They have selected Fujjar as their followers by rejecting the Lord’s Book as explained in verse 5: 48. They are learning, teaching, and propagating ‘books of deeds’ written by the pseudo-prophets and hypocritical leaders. Instead of purifying the conduct and character of their followers by teaching Adhikr, the hypocritical leaders are trying to increase the number of followers. They are thinking that the majority is the criterion of Truth. The hypocrites are the transgressors as explained in verse 9: 67. The transgressors will not become believers as told in verse 10: 33. None will hide Adhikr except the transgressors as explained in verse 2: 99. The disbelievers who hide and reject Adhikr are the inmates of Hell as told in verse 40: 6. Verses 9: 24, 80; 61: 5, and 63: 6 end as: "Lord will never guide a transgressing people into the Straightpath who hide Adhikr ". See explanations 2: 7, 136; 3: 86-87, and 7: 179.
